About me

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at Florida State University. My research centers around causal inference, with an emphasis on developing methods for observational studies that integrate machine learning. My methodological work is motivated by problems in environmental health, public policy, and development economics. Previously, I obtained a PhD in Biostatistics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where my dissertation developed difference-in-difference methods in settings where interference may be present, stochastic interventions are of interest, or both. Prior to my doctoral studies, I received a B.A. in Statistics and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

If you are a PhD student at FSU who is interested in working with me, please send me an email with a short description of some research areas you are interested in. At this time, I do not have the capacity to mentor Masters or undergraduate students in research but I will update this note if that changes in the future.
